Our Trainer

Morgan Stephens – On-Site Trainer (Eventing, H/J, Dressage)

Our Vision:

Morgan’s primary focus is in developing happy and harmonious horses and riders. There is no better feeling than having a true connection with your horse both in and out of the saddle and Morgan’s dream is for every rider to have a chance to develop that same feeling with their horse through an understanding of equine behavior and horse and rider biomechanics. This is something that can benefit any rider, whether they ride for pleasure or with goals of competing.

Morgan’s Background:

Morgan has a BS in Animal Science and Equestrian Studies and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Findlay, one of the premier Equestrian programs in Ohio. She grew up riding and teaching in Hawaii and further honed her riding, training, and farm management skills in Ohio. Most recently, Morgan worked as an Equine Nutrition Specialist with Arenus, striving to improve the lives of horses and their owners by providing veterinarians with nutritional advice for GI, respiratory, reproductive, and lameness issues.

Before that, Morgan held numerous positions in the horse-world:

-Assistant Trainer/Barn Manager at River Hollow Farm

-Assistant Coach for the University of Findlay 3-Day-Eventing Team

-Teaching Assistant at University of Findlay’s James L. Child Equestrian Complex (colt-gentling & beginner-advanced lessons)

Along with many other part time teaching and training positions with established trainers in varying disciplines.

Her dedication to her students and commitment to the equestrian community makes Morgan a wonderful addition to Overlake. We would love for you to join our welcoming and supportive team!
